THE PROTOCOL ARCHITECT

Spaceman Dan isn't a fitness influencer. He is a researcher and builder.

With a background that spans Law (J.D., Northwestern) and Neuroscience (PhD Candidate, UC San Diego), Dan has spent his career analyzing complex systems. Whether studying the legal frameworks of society or the neural circuits of the brain, the mission has always been the same: understand the rules, then optimize them to build something better.

The Spaceman Protocol was born from a frustration with the "Old Rules" of fitness. While studying the physics of sound and neural signaling, he realized that traditional weightlifting had a few fatal flaws.

By applying principles from physics — vectors, shear force, and linear variable tension — he developed a training system that respects human biomechanics rather than fighting them, all for very little money from readily available components.

When he isn't filming protocols at Mission Control, Spaceman Dan is defending his Thesis at UCSD, building an AgTech startup www.GreenSounds.life, foraging for delicious foods in San Diego with his copilots Darwin & Gaia 🐶, movie & concert going, working on his art, playing pool… lots of pool, and exploring the landscape & potential of the human mind.

FLIGHT OPERATIONS

I am currently using bands in a hybrid model that includes a high daily step count and three days a week of high intensity lifting in the gym. While I have used bands exclusively in the past to make significant strength and hypertrophy gains, I currently retain my gym membership for two primary reasons: I enjoy the social aspect as I spend most days working from home, and the variability maintains my engagement.

The Iron (3x Weekly): Traditional heavy loading using machines and free weights. Focus: Raw force production in short sessions (30 minutes per session)

The Spaceman Protocol (Daily): Used for activation, joint mobilization, and vector-specific hypertrophy. Focus: stability, angles, micro-compound movements, neuroplasticity.

Cardio: Regular swimming and high-volume step counts.

FUEL & CHEMISTRY

THE DIET:

High Protein (~200g/day). Low friction.

Staples: Steak, Fish, Sashimi, Tacos, protein shakes.

"Jungle Juice": A custom blend of Pineapple, Cranberry, Tart Cherry, and Beet Juice.

The "Gitu" Extract: Ginger, Turmeric, Cayenne, Black Pepper. (Anti-inflammatory rocket fuel).

THE CHEMISTRY (Supplement Stacks):

I approach supplementation like a neuroscientist: purely for chemical optimization.

Phase 1 (Morning): Methylation & Mitochondrial Drive (NAD+ precursors, B-Complex).

Phase 2 (Mid-Day): Structural Support (Choline, CoQ10).

Phase 3 (Evening): Neuro-Downregulation (GABA, Magnesium L-Threonate, Apigenin).

The Sharpshooter Stack: A dopamine-focused pre-event stack for high-precision tasks (Pool, Public Speaking).
